ACTION BY CATHOLIC CHURCHES OF VOORSCHOTEN ENORMOUS SUCCESS

From October till the beginning of this month the catholic churches of Voorschoten conducted an action for Anna Home. The goal was to build a training centre to teach in carpentry, sewing and the use of computers. The action has been an enormous success. The president of our foundation, Karen Stoffels, has received a cheque of € 11.000. This amount will be doubled by de Interparochiële Caritas Instelling, resulting in enough money to fully implement the project. We are very grateful.

CONSTRUCTION WORK

Two big projects are taking shape at this moment in Choibalsan. The building of the training centre and the expansion and renovation of Anna Home by Colour4Kids. At the beginning of June the work has started. The contractor has been to China to buy the materials and is energetically working. American Peace Corps volunteer Jim and Boldsaikhan are supervising and this gives them loads of work. The photo’s tell the story.

TWO NEW CHILDREN IN DE HOME

The brother and sister Sarultogs and Saranchimeg chose to go back to their mother. Circumstances are a little better than before.
In their place two girls came, Bolortuya,15 years old and Monkhoeun 8 years.

BYMBADAVAA TELLS HIS STORY

(From now on we will ask a child to tell what it means to live in Anna Home)
In May 2007 my mother died, I was 10 years old at that time. I have never seen my father. I was left with my brother Uurtsaih, who is two years older. We lived for a few months with friends of my mother, but that was not easy. In November 2007 we were allowed to live in Anna Home. I am very happy here, because I have enough to eat, I have clothes and I can play. I like football and wrestling, our national sport.
When I grow up I want to be a police officer because some people drink lots of vodka and then they harass children. I will catch them and put them in jail.
I now have vacation. I work in the garden and I have my own tree which I give water every day. That is possible since we have our own deep well. It grows well. I also help with the construction of the training centre. I want to learn to program computers there.
I sometimes miss my mother and I am very happy that my brother also lives here.
